Pirate Costume! - 10/31/08

Here was my Halloween costume for work. Per usual, my head is cut-off so you can’t see the cute bandana I had on. You can see it on the stock picture here.

I know it looks like a regular outfit but the bandana really pulled this look together. You can’t really see it in the picture but the top had an imprint of skulls and bones. It was super cute!

Halloween was fun! I ate a lot of food & CAKE! Everyone in the office was dressed up! Cleopatra won Best Costume. I barely did any work. Great day!

Work-Safe Halloween Costume - 10/30/08

I needed a work friendly costume for Halloween tomorrow so I asked my sister to borrow one of her old costumes. For some reason, she has a closet full of costumes! That girl LOVES Halloween!

She found this totally cute Pirate Costume! All I have to do is wear a black shirt underneath and it’s work-safe!! Unfortunately, she lost to belt which was the best part of the costume!! =(

Anyway, we also decorated our office today and it was super fun!! I get excited for the dumbest thing!

Story of My Life Outfit - 10/28/08

I was opening up my mail for the day and realized the story of my life!

Okay, so first I opened up an envelope from T-Mobile. I’ve been with T-Mobile for awhile now and recently purchased a couple of new phones from them (see post here). Anyway, they sent me a debit card for $100!! To spend anywhere I want!! OMG, that was soo cool of them. I seriously LOVE T-Mobile!!! Thank you T-MOBILE! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST =)

Then, I open the next mail. It’s my medical bill.

Quick background: I’ve been feeling very tired lately so I went to see the doctor. Turns out I have low white blood cells =(

BUT it cost $500 to find that out. OMFG. Excuse my language. I slipped into a depression for about 15 minutes until my BF pulled me out of it. Thinking about it now SUCKS!! I HATE health care costs! It is sooo lame that we have to pay so much just to see a doctor!!! WTH do I pay medical insurance for each month?? It doesn’t cover anything!

Anywhoo, story of my life is when something good happens to me, something bad happens 5 times worst!

Oh well, at least I have my health and a wonderful boyfriend. That’s all I need in life. Money is nothing compared to those two. I would like to wish you ladies well too =)

Selma Blair Inspired Outfit! – 10/26/08

Actress Selma Blair, who currently stars in “Kath and Kim”, wore this cute black shirt dress so I decided to recreate the look using my own shirt dress!

Of course Selma Blair's dress is different from my own. Her dress is more loose-fitting & includes a matching belt. I like the heels that she paired with her dress!

I like my shirt dress because it’s such an easy outfit! My H&M belt added perfectly to my outfit. I love how the belt fits my waist so well!! It's so hard to find belts that actually fit my waist!

MAC Holiday Brush Haul! - 10/25/08

I’m soo excited!! I went to Nordstrom today to scope out the MAC brushes that were just released. I thought they were going to be $50 but they were onlyyyy $35!! So I bought 3 sets, LOL. =P

Actually 2 sets are identical (Basic brush set) and the Face brush set. I didn’t buy the 3rd (Eye)set because I purchased a similar set last year..

I LOVE MAC brushes!! Especially Limited Edition ones because I can take them with me when I travel and not really worry too much about them!! I’m so excited about these brushes! I LOVE that they are RED!!

Disliking Aldo Outfit! - 10/22/08

I’ve been so tired lately! Waking up tired is the worst feeling and it seems like I wake up tired everyday.. My next doctor’s appointment is in November and hopefully they don’t find anything too bad from my blood test. =(

You can’t really see heels in today’s outfit, so I snapped a picture of it on its own:

The heels are from Aldo. I have a rant about Aldo: I own 2 pairs of Aldo heels and both do not fit me! One is size 6 and the other is Size 5. I am a 5 ½ (Yes, I have small feet).I hate that Aldo doesn’t offer half sizes. It really annoys me because they have such cute heels! I don’t even bother shopping there anymore because of this fact!

Nonetheless, I still wear the heels even if it doesn’t really fit.. I know it’s bad for my feet but they are soo cute! Actually, for the size 6 heels..I even bought slip-in soles to provide a better fit; it still did NOT work!

Candy Outfit! 10/20/08

I got off work early today! To do what???.......... Waste time.

That’s right, I waste time during my time off. It’s all my couch’s fault for being so darn comfortable! I almost fell asleep at 6pm!

It’s now 8pm and I am trying to get my butt studying! It’s soo hard to study after a day’s work. Boohoo, whine, whine whine. Get over yourself!! Okay, I’m talking to myself..I really need to stop!

I ate a YUMMMY chocolate bar today!! If you are confused, you should be. I have been trying to eat healthier but today was a set-back. I ate a whole See’s candy bar (TOFFEE, my fav!). I also ate a small Butterfinger's bar and a Reece’s. Gosh, candy everywhere!!

Dumb Button Outfit! - 10/20/08

I wore my new Black Cardigan from Banana Republic today! I like the cardigan but I got a little frustrated at the dumb buttons. They are so hard to un-button! It’s because they decided to make the buttons the same material as the cardigan, making it harder for the buttons to glide out of the hole!! Arghh! The frustrations I go through. It took a whole 3 minutes to unbutton the darn thing! Anyway....


I got these Bracelets & Simple Hoop Earrings some time ago! I am obsessed with jewelry! These items are so cute!! I love simple hoop earrings, especially on days when I am in a hurry and want to just grab anything to wear!


Also, I can’t believe it’s near the end of October already!! Next thing you know, it’ll be 2009! I have big plans for this Holiday season! I am going to be traveling to a couple of domestic locations, Get a lot of shopping in...Oh yeah, and sight-see as well. =P Will keep you all updated..

Old Navy Haul - Part 2 - 10/18/08

After visiting the first Old Navy (see Part 1 of this post here), I went to two other Old Navys. What can I say? I wanted more clothes! My poor BF had to drive me all over town!

Old Navy Haul - Part 1 - 10/18/08

I heard about a $2 Deal at Old Navy so I had to check it out!! The store opened at 9:30am but I got there at 9:15. There was a Marshalls next door that opened a little bit earlier so I stopped in and saw some True Religion jeans there! I was soo tempted to buy one but I know I have too many jeans and I rarely wear it so.. I had to pass =(

Anyway, BACK to Old Navy. When they opened, I immediately went to the $2 racks and, at first look, I was disappointed at what I saw. There were only 2 small racks! I started digging and found some items in my size! AND they were cute! I was soo happy!! =)

The BEST PART: I saw a sign that indicated an extra 50% on top of the clearance price! OMG, all these items were purchased for only 0.99 cents each!! Can you believe it??!!

I was browsing Kim Kardashian’s blog before trying to get myself to study and saw this gorgeous (ok, when is she NOT gorgeous!) picture of her. I absolutely LOVE her dress. OMG, and her heels!!

True Religion Outfit! 10/12/08

I think I’ve mentioned in a prior post that I rarely wear jeans due to the nature of my employment (we’re very conservative).

Here is a rare picture of me in jeans. I was in a dentist’s waiting room reading about my favorite artist, Mariah Carey (when she married Nick Cannon)! I know, this picture is a little old!!

At any rate, I purchased my True Religion Jeans at COSTCO for about $110! I loved it soo much that I purchased two, “just in case”!

I purchased this new XOXO Dress from Ross and it is now my favorite dress!!

I love this dress because it is stylish and fun yet polished and professional! Perfect for work!! I like the skinny belt that it came with; however, I might switch it out and wear it with one of my other skinny belts!!

Also, I LOVE animal print! I don’t care if it is “in” or “out”, I will always love me some animal prints! Fake ones of course! I care for animals too much to wear real prints =(

I love it when I find a gem at Ross! It gives me such a great feeling!!

Make Her Happy Outfit! - 10/9/08

It makes me sad when a friend is sad. What can I do to make her happy?

1. Buy her cake?? She doesn’t eat cake or chocolate..Or even sugar! Gosh...
2. Take her out? She doesn’t go out!
3. Cheer her up….

I’ve figured it out: All I can do is be there for her and listen to her when she needs me. And that is the best thing I can do for her during these times =)

Anyway, enough of me talking about nothing!

I got another massage today! Oh man, massages feel so relaxing! I LOVE them just as much as cake. And that’s why I had both in one day! Sweeeeettt=P

Ross Haul – Joey O Gray Heels - 10/5/08

I just purchased these cute JoeyO heels!! I love the shoe lace with a bow-tie detail; it makes the heels look so sweet & adorable!

These heels have a neutral palette color combination, which is perfect for work. I would love it to be in spunky colors because it would match my personality more but hey, I can't complain!

I purchase my heels for only $15.99!! It’s amazing to see so many JoeyO heels at Ross!! Ross also carried Marc Jacob and Ralph Lauren heels at about $30+. Really cute heels but nothing I really, really wanted.

You know what else I love about these heels?

It looks unique! Not some boring ol’ pumps! I know I have many of those!! These heels will liven up my outfits! =)

Wedding Dress! 10/4/08

I recently attended a friend’s small wedding. I had a post on 3 dresses that I narrowed my choices down to (see more on post here). I chose to wear this CUTE brown dress!!


I was looking through Kim Kardashian’s blog and noticed a similar dress! Granted she “fills” in her dress a lot more than I do! Gosh, I love her ta-tas! =P

Anyway, she is wearing a turquoise "super hero" dress by Mara Hoffman during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel.

As for my dress, it was created by my dressmaker! She is fabulous at creating anything I want!! I didn’t copy Kim’s dress because I didn’t even know it existed (I had the dress made a couple of months ago)! In any case, the two dresses look very much alike!

The Ex List! Review - 10/4/08

I watched “The Ex List” on cbs.com and it is a pretty good show!

I hope this show does well because I would like to see more of it! It is such a CUTE show! Funny too! =)

I really liked the first episode. It's Bella's quest to find true love. I have a hunch her recent ex-boyfriend might be “the one”. I’ll keep watching to find out what happens!!

I just really hope that this show is not a “one-season” wonder: where it shows up for one season and just leaves me hanging! Ughh! I am so sick of shows like that: Cashmere Mafia, What about Brian?.. The list goes on.

If you guys have the time, this show is super cute and I would recommend watching it! I really like their laid-back beach vibe. I also really like how Bella rides a bike everywhere! She is super cute! Here is a link to the show on cbs.com: Linky

New Haircut! - 10/4/08

I just got a haircut – just a trim with long, side-swept bangs.
I love the feeling of getting a haircut! For some reason, I always feel lighter!

I also had deep conditioning on my hair which made it feel so silky & soft! Ahh, the joys of self-indulgence!

There was a Marshall’s nearby; I had to stop in. I have been hearing that they carry designer jeans such as True Religion! That particular Marshall’s didn’t have True Religion Jeans but they did have Paper Denim & Seven for all Mankind Jeans! In size small too! (Which is extremely rare!)

I also bought this little bottle of Biolage Silk Therapy. I love the smell of this product & it makes my hair so shiny & soft!! This little bottle will last me probably a year!

I absolutely loveee Biolage!! I use their shampoo & conditioner as well. In fact, I buy it by the gallon!! =P

Halloween Costume! - 10/1/08

It’s October! Gosh, this year has gone by so fast!!
Next thing you know, it’ll be Christmas!! My favorite time of the year! I LOVE presents!!
