“Dang, you go shopping a lot!” Outfit - 6/30/08

"Dang, you go shopping a lot!” – That’s what someone said to me today. Thank you, I’ll take it as a compliment! ;)

Yes, I do shop a lot. Hah! But the trick is to buy on sale! And I don’t buy sale items just because it’s on sale, I buy it because I LOVE the item and happen to find it on sale. Otherwise, I love the item at the store if it is FULL price! It’s hard, trust me there are soo many things that I want to buy but I have to simply wait it out. If it doesn’t go on sale, I don’t miss it!

Disclaimer: Works for me. May not work for others! =P

Wet Seal Haul! - 6/29/08

I went to Wet Seal last week & picked up some items for super cheap! They were having 50% off the sale items & I almost went a little too crazy! Fortunately (or UNfortunately however you want to see it), I only picked up a few items:

These button-up shirts were originally $9.99, I got them for $4.99! Plus I am a card-member at Wet-Seal (you can purchase it for $20 and get 20% off your first purchase, then 10% off subsequent purchases). So an extra 10% off!

I got these button-up shirts in both colors. Now that I am looking at it, I wish I bought an extra white shirt! I always end up messing up my white clothes!

Here is a better "professional" picture of the items:

This yellow jacket is perfect for warm summer nights! I love the color!! Price $24.99, I got it for $12.99. I wish I got the other colors! Especially RED!

And lastly, this nice shirt. I'm actually going to wear it as a dress because it's that long! It has cute pockets on the side as well. Price: $4.99 after discount!

I will wear all these items soon! And, of course, pictures will be posted here. =)

Four-day Week/Weekend Outfit - 6/29/08

I hope your weekend was wonderful, now that it is winding down! This week is going to be a great week guys! It’s going to be a 4-day week AND a four-day weekend (for me anyway =P), with the Fourth of July coming! I hope that you guys have some fun stuff planned for the upcoming holiday weekend!

As for me, I am going to try to study hard. I know that I’ve been saying that a lot but get used to it! For the next year (or year and a half), most of my time will be spent studying (or shopping!). That’s life! Actually, after that, I will probably still be studying for another 2 years but not as intense as what I am trying to accomplish now!

Anyway! Enough about the “stressful” things in life!

Here is an outfit from a couple of days ago. I LOVE these new pants that I got from Banana Republic because it was only $11.97! AND it was in my size!! Cost more to hem the pants ($12)!

Four-day Week/Weekend Outfit!

Banana Republic Pants in Plaid w/ Blue Stripes - $11.97!
Wet Seal Sweater in Electric Blue – Less than $10!

Ruby Red Earrings!

I received these great earrings as a graduation gift from my BF’s mom. I love them & wear them practically every day! It is simple & sophisticated. PLUS red is my favorite color (if you don’t already know!) The stone is Ruby & the color is absolutely gorgeous!! It is also her & my BF’s birth stone, making it extra special!

This reminds me: I really need to take pictures of my jewelry box!

BCBGirls 'Popiul' Pump from Marshall's!

I usually don’t like Marshall's because I think it’s still a little too expensive for me. I went there to buy my little brother some clothes because he received good grades. Somehow I wondered off into the shoe section...

AND HERE IS WHAT I FOUND:
BCBGirls 'Popiul' Pump in Raisin Pearl Nappa (Dark Plum color)

I have been eyeing these heels for the longest time! I love PUMPS because they are perfect for work. I wanted these heels in every color! I saw them at Nordstrom’s for $44 but thought that was too expensive for me to buy.

Luckily, I saw a pair IN MY SIZE at Marshalls this weekend! The plum color is such a pretty color too! I am so happy with my purchase! The best part: It was on clearance for only $25! ;)

It can cause you to become sick! It can also shorten your life!! So stop stressing & start living your wonderful life!! Words that I really need to live by =P

I have been loving the black & white combo look lately. It is so sophisticated looking. Actress Jennifer Garner made the look soo cute. I had to make my own version! With a top from Wet Seal, I tucked it in a skirt from Ross. The top was soo long! It looked like a cute mini-dress & almost reached the bottom of my skirt!

Hemmed Outfit - 6/23/08

I made it through Monday! Yipppeee! I recently hemmed 9 new pants & I cannot wait to wear them all! I used to have a lady that charged me only $2-3 to hem!! Life was good, until she stopped hemming pants =(

Now it costs me $6 for regular hem & $8-12 for pants with cuffs. Eh, at least I’m helping an entrepreneur out!

In any case, I’ve been good on not spending money but now lately, I’ve got the urge! I just went shopping at Wet Seal and picked up a yellow jacket, 2 button-up (short-sleeved), & a cute top. Pics will arrive soon!

I also went to Ross (actually went to 2 locations) and nothing was there for me to buy! Actually they has REALLY cute patent red heels w/ gold trims from GUESS? For only $30!! I didn’t buy it because I have soo many red heels! Anyhoo, here is a pic of it:

Peek into My Closet! 6/21/08

Here are the long awaited pictures of my closet! I have 2 closets but only too pictures of one. The other will come in time (it is filled with my dresses). This closet is filled with my “work” clothes.

I absolutely LOVE my closets. I purchased bars from Wal-Mart for only about $8 which doubles my closet. It just hangs on top of the top bar & creates an extra bar for extra storage! I believe that they are called “Closet Doublers”. If anyone needs the item, I’ll be glad to do a search & post it here! There are 2 bars in this closet.

My closet was organized but since I’ve been so busy, I’ve been putting the clothes I wear back in random places.

Shirts & Belts (Belt hanger from Ross - about $10!)

My "Collared" Shirts - I want them in every color!

Pants & Skirts

The other side of my pants - I see a skirt out of place!

Jackets & more Collared shirts

CUTE Dress that Michelle Obama wore on “The View”!

I was watching the “Today show” yesterday (actually, I wake up to that show!) & heard all the fuss about this dress. So, naturally, I had to open my eyes that morning & wake up to see the dress that Michelle Obama wore on “The View”.

Turns out, it is gorgeous!!! I really love the sophisticated-ness of the dress. I love that Michelle is wearing the "inexpensive" dress that looks extremely classy! Gosh, the cut of this dress looks like it was made exclusively for Michelle! It was reported that she bought this dress “off the racks”.

Left: Michelle Obama appears in a White House/Black Market dress by Donna Ricco Dresses with 'The View' co-hosts Joy Behar (from left), Barbara Walters and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

The media is reporting that it was $148 but I saw on her website it was only $99 – unfortunately it was sold out =(

If you don't already know, I LOVE dresses! ;) So, unsurprisingly, I was trying to find the dress at local stores/malls/online and to no avail (except for one on ebay..)!

I’m going have my dress lady make one for me! I can’t wait to see it! My dress lady is super cool! I give her a picture and she makes it for me with great quality too! I need to post some dresses that she has made for me..

Happy weekend Everyone!

Layered Outfit - 6/14/08

I wanted to wear a super comfortable outfit today. I like to layer my clothes when it is a little cold outside. I get cold very easily so layering is perfect for cloudy days like today!

Someone asked me how to layer clothes. For me, I get inspirations from looking at celeb pics. Many celebs like Jessica Alba like to layer clothes. She also likes to add scarves to her outfits, which I LOVE because again I am always cold!!

Other than looking at celeb pics, you just have to experiment with what works with you because we all have different styles. Embrace what you love and don’t care about what others think!

Layered Outfit:

Banana Republic Martin Fit Pants in Tan
Wet Seal Striped Sweater in Brown & White
Wet Seal Tee in Brown
Joan & David Heels in Patent Brown

I LOVE BCBG Outfit - 6/13/08

I just got back from Ross & wow are there good deals there!! Lots of dresses. Lots of goodies to purchase as a present for Father’s Day this Sunday.

Some ideas I saw as perfect presents were:

Gorgeous Leather Laptop bags, or rollie-thingies (whatever they are called!)
Luggage
Sleepwear (pajamas)
AND if you are old-fashion, a nice shirt & tie combo. I love this because it’s cheap, easy, and fathers need it!

Anyway, today’s outfit was coordinated because I wanted to wear something “BCBG”. I LOVE BCBG but I rarely see things on sale (well when I mean sale, I mean a decent price). The BCBG items that I currently own are mostly back when I used to buy items at regular (gasp!) price. The striped shirt I am wearing is one of those items that I never threw away. I’m glad I didn’t either because it still works well with my current wardrobe!

I LOVE BCBG Outfit:

BCBG Striped Pants

BCBG Striped Sweater

Banana Republic White button-up - $14.99!

Linea Paolo 'Mirage' Pump in Gun Metal - $30

Graduation Outfit - 5/24/08

Here is my outfit from graduation a couple of weeks ago. I usually have unworn dresses saved in my closet for special occasions. This time, I had 3 dresses to choose from but I still went out & bought a new dress!

The dress pictured was purchased from Ross and is by…. BCBG!! Can you believe it??! It was only $30! During that shopping trip, I also picked up a pair of Bright Red Chinese Laundry Heels for only $25. Perfect Ross trip for me!

Anyway, graduation was extremely fun and a proud moment for me. I can’t wait for my next graduation, which I am hoping will be in 2 years if all goes according to plan.

Graduation Outfit:

BCBG Bubble Dress from Ross - $29.99

Wet Seal Cropped Jacket in Black w/ Patent Black Belt

Carlos Santana Gold Heels from Ross (not pictured)- $25.99

Size 6 Outfit - 6/7/08

I went on a major shopping spree during Memorial Day vacation! Unfortunately, I have not been able to take any pictures of my purchases! Today, I am hemming most of the new pants that I purchased. Most of my purchased were from Banana Republic.

I also purchased some items from H&M. I really, really like H&M, however, there isn’t one near where I live. The prices are affordable and the quality seems to be okay! I did notice that the sizes at H&M starts at size 4. What’s up with that??!! I am usually a size 0-2 & I’m buying size 4? There was a dress (pictured) that I absolutely LOVED & ended up buying it in a size 6. WTH!!? Haha, I’m just joking but all kidding aside, what is really up with H&M’s sizing?

Size 6 Outfit:

H&M Dress in Burgundy – A size 6 AND it fits!! $30

Wet Seal Cotton Scoop-neck sweater in Black - $10

BCBGirls Heels in Patent Black
