Sisterly Love Outfit – 9/29/08

I spent half of the day shopping with my sister! It’s our time to catch up & it’s so much fun hanging out with her!

We went to a couple of Ross’ & purchase some goodies! Pics to come later..

We stopped by a couple Halloween stores. My sister wants to be a cow-girl or belly-dancer for Halloween. As for me, I want to be a sexy cop! Unfortunately, no costumes were purchased because we couldn’t try them on..

We also waxed our eyebrows and I got a deep shoulder & neck massage! Whew, what a day! =P

Okay enough chit-chat! Let’s talk outfit!

I really liked this outfit. It was professional but I love how the skinny belt ties the outfit together! I seriously would like that skinny belt in all colors!

This cardigan is thinner than most of the others that I have purchased. It's great for layering over a cute dress!

Brown Sweater - About $25.
I LOVE these sweaters!! They are soo comfy! I wanted it in every color but my trusty sidekick sister calmed me down & made me chose one color!

Brown Top - Only $5.99!!
OMG! I was so lucky to have found such a steal! I turned around after grabbing the cardigan to find this!! =)

Desperate Housewives Premiere Review! 9/28/08

Just saw the season premiere of Desperate Housewives! Let’s say it was JUICY, as promised!!

So much drama packed into one little hour! Cliffhangers all over the place!

Definitely NOT predictable!

Ok, so I think my new favorite character this season will be Susan (played by Teri Hatcher). She was dressed so cute! And she seems to be super strong, yet very weak at the same time. I really feel for Susan’s character.

Eva Longoria-Parker's character, Gabriele, I am not liking too much. I know motherhood can really change a woman but I just don’t like what she has become. Kind of frumpy... I wonder if she'll ever go back to becoming the "old" Gabby?

Edie’s husband, what a character he is!! He feels like bad news, looks crazy, & feels scary! The storyline unfolded new drama with him! I wonder who he is out to get??!! Gosh, I hate waiting to know!

I can’t believe Danielle took her baby back from Bree. AND Danielle is married?? To a lawyer?? Wow.

Seriously, this show is so freaking good!! I absolutely loved every minute of the show. Everytime the BF wanted to talk to me, I said, “SHHH, please wait until commercial!” Do not interrupt me when I am watching this fantastic show!

Do you want to go shopping? - 9/28/08

Do you want to go shopping?
Those words are music to my ears. Unfortunately, not today.
My sister called me asking if I wanted to go shopping with her and I actually responded no!
I cannot believe it! Me??!! Saying no to such a question??!! Have I gone insane? Yes, I may have..

The reason why I said no was because I needed to STUDY. I know, I’ve been mentioning studying a lot lately. I have been seriously procrastinating about studying for the longest time. Making up excuses to go buy this and that just so I don’t have to sit in my office to study.

Well starting today, that time is over!! I will no longer make up excuses in order to postpone studying! Mind you, I am writing in my blog as I am supposed to be studying! Crazy me!

I write this only to help others that are in my situation out. If you have to do something, suck it up and do it. Just finish it and you will feel so good about yourself! SUCK IT UP AND DO IT!! Words that I will live by until I finish this darn exam. Now If only I will follow my own advice..

Desperate Housewives Premiere! - 9/28/08

Desperate Housewives returns tomorrow night for its season premiere!! I cannot wait to see what happens!! If I remember correctly, the show is now fast-forward 5 years. Gabrielle, played by actress Eva Longoria-Parker has kids!! And Susan (Terri Hatcher) is no longer with Mike (James Denton)! OMG, I totally cannot wait!!

In addition, the gals on Desperate Housewives took this great pin-up style photo spread for TV Guide Magazine. I happened to receive this issue today! The photo spread was super HOT! I was super excited to see it in print. Weird, I know. =P

My favorite character is….Gabrielle! OF COURSE!! I love her spunky attitude of "I look good and I’ll tell you that I look good"!! That might all change now that she is a “mother”. We’ll see if she continues with that spunky personality.. or will it change with motherhood?

This is kind of creepy but in the photo (above), there are 2 human shadows.. I wonder if they represent her 2 kids..

Happy Outfit! – 9/27/08

I feel so HAPPY!! It really sucks to say this but it is rare that I feel so happy. I love just hanging out at home and having no care in the world! I read magazines, studied a little (okay, I was supposed to study a lot, but I need a break!!), and even worked out!! The best part was I got to do everything with the BF!

I even watched “Ugly Betty” season premiere! Unfortunately, the premiere did not “aw” me like Ugly Betty episodes often do. Lindsay Lohan was a guest star and she was just just okay. I must say, I LOVE Betty's family! Always there for her when she needs them =)

I drove by Shoe Pavilion and noticed that they were going out of business!! Naturally, I stopped in to browse. Sale prices are only 20% on good items, so I decided to wait until the prices drop even further to make a purchase.

I also made a trip to Wal-mart. It was really weird, I ran into my brother and sister AT Wal-mart!! That is so funny!! For those that want to know what I purchased: A lamp, 20 hangers at only $1.34 for 10 (my closet is growing!), a body scrubber, and cotton. Random, yes. =P

On top of all of that, I went to the dry cleaners too! I usually dry clean 10 items at a time for only $2 each item. So I dry cleaned 10 pants today for $20. I always dry clean all of my pants because I hate to iron! I actually do not own an iron.. I steam my clothes to get the wrinkles out..

Speaking of which, I had a bunch of silk tops that need dry cleaning. I didn’t know if my dry cleaner would charge more for silk or not (they don’t!) so I washed them myself. OKAYYY, so that tag says dry clean only. I washed them GENTLE cycle, hung them dry in the bathroom, and steamed it. Looks perfect to me! One word of advice, this should NOT be done too often. It will ruin the fabric!

I went on a minor shopping spree at Banana Republic!
I was really on the hunt for cardigans. I’ve purchased so many cardigans in the last 2 weeks! I think I have my supply of cardigans for Fall/Winter! ;o)

One of the many cardigans I’ve purchased. Black is so simple and cute! This purchase was more on want than need because I wouldn’t normally pay what I paid.

Blue Knited Cardigan - About $30.
I love this cardigan!! It’s a cute blue color with a three-quarter sleeve.

They had purple too! I was soo tempted to purchase the purple one!! But at $30, I was forced to only purchase one. =(

I always wear a cami underneath my outfits. Its just a habit that I formed. Bra, then cami: Always. LOL. I have no clue why I do it, maybe its to…cover my nips..LOL =P

Vacation Outfit! – 9/26/08

I am taking a couple of days off work to…STUDY??!! Yeah, that’s the life of a driven woman, trying to get my career in line.

I kind of hate these kinds of vacation because it always seems to fly by so fast! Next thing you know, I’ll be back at the daily grind.. =/

Last weekend, I purchase a couple of items from Old Navy. Pics to come! I hope to get some shopping done this weekend. I saw a Ross commercial indicating cute dresses are available! Ross, here I come!!
