BF's Birthday Present - 8/26/08

It was my BF’s birthday awhile back. Shopping for the BF is super hard because he has everything that he wants and doesn’t need anything. It’s crazy how someone can not WANT something!! I always have a wishlist and my wishlist is many miles long!!

Anyway, he likes steaks so I went to an expensive steakhouse and bought him this meal. I bought it as take-out and set it up at home. When he got home, he was soo happy! He said it was one of the best gifts he’s gotten!! Yippee! I did a good job! Yay for me =)

Can you believe this meal was freakin' $50 buxxx!!?? That's an entire outfit at Ross!! =P

Steak cooked medium rare. I can and probably will NEVER cook this well! yum!

Plaid Trend - 8/24/08

School is fast approaching!! What better to remind us of school fashion (a la Britney Spears) than a plaid skirt?? But today's plaid is a lot different from the "school-girl" uniform look. It is, as Tyra Banks would call it, "FIERCE"!

Plaid seems to be in every store I go into these days. I admit it is very cute to wear, although too much of it can be overbearing! I would suggest one plaid piece at a time. Whether it be a skirt, vest, or top; keep it to a limit!

I am IN LOVE with this Red & White dress!

I am trying to find it at a reasonable price but have yet to find it. I could re-create it by wearing a red skirt with a tan top but I really, really want this dress!!

I love this dress because it’s like the black & white dress that I have (more info here), but it is not as simple!! It’s RED, my FAV color!! And it’s perfect for my Fall wardrobe. I NEED this dress!! =P

Also, I went to Ross today (unfortunately, I did not buy anything), and saw the cutest heels that would match this dress to the tee! It was Ralph Lauren and for only $35!! It was half red (top part) and cream/tan (the other half of the shoe including the heel part). It was GORGEOUS!!!

Anyway, I’ll keep you updated on my quest for a dress that is similar to these!!

In continuation of my last post - 8/23/08

In my previous post (here), I forgot to mention that my outfit was inspired by these celebs!! I absolutely love the classic look of a Black & White "Tuxedo-inspired" ensemble. It’s sleek and is instantly professional looking!! Easy & chic! =)

Here is a picture of it without the jacket. I wish I had this dress in different colors! I would wear one every day!! =P

Compliment Outfit - 8/22/08

Compliments. I always try to give people sincere compliments every day. It’s my thing. I love it when people’s faces light up and I feel like I made their day. I also love it as an ice breaker to get to know more people. The response I get makes me feel so happy and warm inside!

I went to the optometrist the other day (read what I bought here) and I actually received a compliment from another girl! It felt wonderful!! Me, receiving a compliment!! =D

Anyway, I don’t want to repeat what she said but let’s just say that it was very nice of her. And very bold of her to say it as well! I was speechless when I received the compliment but it was very nice to feel what it is like “on the other side” of a compliment.

Ross Haul – Sexy Dress! - 8/18/08

I purchased this super sexy dress at Ross for only $25!! It’s a little big at a size 2 but I can fit it!!

It’s super comfortable & perfect for special occasions!! I would wear this dress with my hair up to accentuate my neckline. I can't wait for a special occasion to wear this gorgeous dress! Did I mention it was only $25!?? (Yes, I did =P)

Anyway, Monday has flown by. I hope that your Tuesday goes well! I get cake tomorrow! Yippee! I LOVE cake, especially Chocolate ones with Chocolate covered Strawberries!! Yumm.

MAC Haul - 8/17/08

I went to MAC today and picked up a few goodies. I really like MAC makeup but hate going to the MAC stores. I just don’t get good vibes in the stores. I guess it’s hit or miss but I seem to miss a lot of the times.

My new Prada Glasses!! - 8/17/08

I have been having major eye problems and it was affecting my work so (naturally!) I went to visit my optometrist. I have been wearing Bausch & Lomb contacts that having been really irritating my eyes. It felt like sand was in my eyes even after using re-wetting drops.

Lasik was on my mind but I knew that I would be too scared to get the procedure done. Maybe next year! =/

I ended up purchasing new contacts for the year. It’s supposed to have more “water content,” allowing my eyes to feel a little better. Unfortunately, it didn’t!

I have been wearing these Chanel glasses for the past 3 years and my eyes have gotten worst. I really hate wearing these glasses because I feel like they just don’t look good on me. I finally figured out the reason was because I did not purchase the anti-reflective lenses on them!!

Anyway, at the optometrist I fell in love with these Prada glasses. Unfortunately, they were too expensive for me. But my lovely boyfriend knew how much I wanted them, so he went back and bought them for me!! I was sooo happy!!

Btw, if you plan to purchase glasses, I highly recommend the Anti-reflective lenses. These are a must!! It just looks so much better!!
