Boyfriend Jeans Trend? 8/17/08

Katie Holmes & Victoria Beckham have been known for their fabulous girly styles. But when they both stepped out in baggy jeans, it caused heads to turn. The 2 celebs are close friends and often hang out with each other. I wonder if they got together and said, "Let’s start wearing our husband’s jeans and see what people say!" Is this a new trend we see?

Katie Holmes has repeatedly worn her “Boyfriend Jeans” or should we say her “Husband Jeans”.

This style is super comfortable and laid-back for sure. Let’s see if this one spreads!! It’ll be interesting for sure =)

PS. This is not so much my style. But...I could put on my BF’s jeans to try it out for you all to see.. We’ll see! ; )

Ross Haul + Hiking Trip! - 8/16/08

Hello All!!

I went hiking today!! It was so much fun. We hiked down a cliff to the ocean during sunset and it was extremely gorgeous!! I love outdoor activities, especially when I get a chance to burn off some calories! What a great day! I hope you all had as much fun as I did!

I also stopped by Ross (of course!) just to rummage the racks. I ended finding this cute top for only $7.99! The belt was missing but I have many belts that can cover that!!

I love this top because it’s perfect for work yet chic enough not to be too ordinary. I can’t wait to match this up with one of my pants.

I'm not sure if you can see it but the shirt has silver thread lines, giving it that extra sparkle!

Olympics Outfit - 8/12/08

I’ve been so addicted to the Olympics!

Opening Ceremony was AMAZING! I love so many things about it! The fireworks were extravagant. The people forming various shapes were awesome! My favorite was the beginning drum piece where they counted down. That was so intricate!

Some of my favorite Olympics sports to watch are:
1. Gymnastics!! Of course! I love watching girls on the beams and on the mats.
2. Diving. I love how some of them don’t have a huge splash when diving. So cool!!

I also love that the Olympics is in Beijing, China. I've been watching the "Today Show" and they have a segment where Al Roker teaches you a word in Mandarin. I've learned 2 words!!

Congratulations: Gong Xi and Go Go! which I can only pronounce and not spell!

Custom-made Dresses (to attend a Wedding) - 8/10/08

I’m going to a wedding and have narrowed my dress choices down to 3 dresses!

I just received these 3 dresses from my “dress lady”. I mentioned in a prior post (see post here) that I have a lady that will create almost any dress for me if I give her my measurements and a good quality photo.

I received many emails inquiring about this. I am sure that if you provide your measurements and a good quality photo, she can recreate a dress for you as well! I am all about sharing my dress lady. She charges based on fabric and time to create the dress. It usually costs me about $100 a dress.

On a side note, my sister is creating her wedding dress with her!! I can’t wait to see the results!

So here are my dresses:

1. I LOVE RED!! This red dress fits amazingly and is gorgeous!! I love the bow tie detail! I’m just not sure if I should wear RED to a wedding! This decision is going to be hard.. =(

2. This dress fits so well! (Actually all dresses fit amazingly because I gave my dress lady my measurements!! Gosh, I love custom –made clothes!!). Anyway! This is super cute. I love this color on my skin-tone. I also love how the dress skirt is shaped similar to a tulip.

This dress is simply gorgeous!
3. LBD – Little Black Dress. This is just a simple black dress. I feel like it’s nice and simple, not to take away from the bride. But do I want to wear black to a wedding?? Decisions, decisions!

Fun day + Ross Haul - 8/10/08

Hello All!!

Today was a good day. I spent half of the day shopping and spent the afternoon looking (oogling) at extravagant vehicles at a Gumball Rally. Whew, I am exhausted now!!

Shopping was fun. I only picked up a couple of items. I learned that a new H&M is coming to the city that I live in! Exciting!! =)

Gumball was extremely fun! I was dreading on going because it’s the BF’s “thing”. But it ended up being very fun! I saw Bam Margera (from MTV’s Jackass) there!! I am so upset with myself for forgetting my camera!!

Here is what I picked up at Ross. A super cute dress for only $18.99!!! The bottom “skirt” portion is silk, while the top is woven. Super cute!

Ross Dress Purchase – 8/8/08

I just purchased this brown dress! Its super cute and only $19.99 at Ross!! I think it would be perfect for work. I can’t wait to wear it!

I love this dress because it’s simple yet cute. I can dress it up or down depending on the accessories I use. Although lately, I’ve been running late everyday and accessories are the last thing on my mind. I am definitely going to try to add more accessories to my outfits next week. =)

Hancock Outfit – 8/3/08

I’ve just returned from watching the movie Hancock (Starring Will Smith & Charlize Theron). What a wonderful movie!! I absolutely loved this movie! It was romantic, funny, & action-packed. I cannot rave enough about this movie!

As for today's outfit, I always look at my outfit pictures and think how it could have looked better. I think that this outfit was missing a Cheetah-Print Belt. So I am on the search for a Cheetah print belt! I saw one at H&M; however I did not purchase it! Now I totally regret it since there isn’t an H&M near me. =(

Bristol Farms Chocolate Cake! - 8/3/08

Having a bad day? Whenever I have a bad day, I always reach for “comfort food”. A couple of weeks ago, I went to Bristol Farms and purchased this cake. I forgot what it was called!! Sorry!

Anyway, the bakery person told me to warm it up for 10 seconds to melt the chocolate. OMG, it is delicious!! It changed my mood so quickly! I love chocolate & I love cake! Chocolate cake is just perfect!!
